Tesla has launched a “Mezcal” on its overseas official website, which is a type of tequila with an alcohol content of 43% and a volume of 750ml, priced at $450 (approximately 3262 RMB). According to Tesla’s website, the glass bottle of this drink is hand-blown and designed by Tesla’s Product Design Director, Javier Verdura. It features a rich black finish inspired by the centuries-old tradition of Barro Negro pottery from Oaxaca, Mexico.
The taste description of this drink on Tesla’s website includes floral, delicate, and spicy notes, with hints of earthiness, a touch of lime, green apple, and spices, followed by smoky flavors. The finish is described as soft, with hints of vanilla, jasmine, and chamomile, providing a balanced but intense flavor with a subtle bitterness.
In 2020, Tesla officially launched its own-brand tequila, Tesla Tequila, on its overseas official website, priced at $250 (approximately 1812 RMB). It sold out within hours, and even the empty lightning-shaped bottles were sold on eBay for nearly ten thousand yuan.
